Can privacy law keep up with new digital technologies in the age of AI?

In this talk, Professor Daniel J. Solove will discuss his new book, On Privacy and Technology. Can privacy law keep up with rapidly changing digital technologies?  Is it possible to protect privacy in the age of AI, Big Data, and ubiquitous surveillance? Solove argues that the answers to these questions are yes, but only if privacy law takes a radical new direction. Solove draws from a quarter-century of thinking, teaching, and writing about privacy law and weaves together philosophy, literature, and the humanities. He will offer a new and provocative perspective on privacy.
