MOBILE - Mobility Law Open Lab with Marianna Hu
A climate adaptation framework for climate-related mobility
Presenter: Marianna Hu is legal researcher at the European University Institute, specialising in climate-related mobility and its intersection with human rights and environmental justice.
Presentation: During the seminar, Marianna will outline her research project, which ultimately explores whether and how international climate change law governs climate-related mobility and how it should evolve to support it. She will also provide a critical review and analysis of the literature on the concept of ‘migration as adaptation’ in more depth, to examine how migration and adaptation are interpreted and conceptualized within this framing, and identify how the opportunities to exercise mobility as adaptation are shaped by people’s ability to move.
