Alice graduated cum laude with Master’s degrees in International Relations and European Studies from the University of Florence, and in Political Sciences from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa.
Her doctoral research, focusing on datafication of human mobility in ECOWAS, investigates the interplays between legal frameworks and datafication efforts, questioning how legal and socio-technical infrastructures shape and are influenced by one another. Methodologically, her research adopts a multidisciplinary approach, fostering dialogue across digital migration studies, critical security studies, and legal studies focusing on International Human Rights and Mobility law. The project is grounded in extensive fieldwork conducted in Mauritania, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire.
At MOBILE, she will be staying as a guest researcher between September 1st to October 15th.
