New Visiting Reseacher at MOBILE - Dimitrios Tsiatsianis
Dimitris Tsiatsianis is a PhD researcher at the Law Department of the European University Institute (EUI), Florence. He is also among the coordinators of the Environmental Law and Governance Working Group at the EUI. His PhD topic is titled ‘Scarcity control or scarcity potential: promises and pitfalls of EU waste law vis a vis natural resource regulation’. Dimitris is interested in the intersections between different fields of EU environmental law, e.g. waste law, circular economy and climate change law, as well as intersections between EU environmental law and other genres of EU law, like migration and labor law. Dimitris holds a Master of Science from Leiden University, Netherlands, in the field of Comparative Criminal Justice. His master thesis concerned the victim status of entities plagued by waste crime and is published, available with open access: Who qualifies as an environmental victim? A cross-jurisdictional case-study in the waste sector.
He will be visiting MOBILE from September 16th to November 16th.
