New PhD Student: Benjamin Turner

From September 1st, Benjamin Turner joins MOBILE as the new PhD student.

Benjamin's Background

Benjamin holds a Bachelor and Master of Laws from the University of Copenhagen. He has worked at the Ombudsman for Inatsisartut in Greenland, and in Denmark at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Environment and Gender Equality.

Benjamin's research interests

At MOBILE, Benjamin will be undertaking a PhD project on the intersections between the law of the sea, human rights, and maritime labour law. In his research, he will examine how international law regulates mobility at sea and how it responds to contemporary challenges concerning maritime labour, jurisdiction, and accountability.
