New Assistant Professor - Mohammad Naser Sabet Jahromi

Mohammad Naser Sabet Jahromi joins MOBILE as Assistant Professor.

Mohammad Naser Sabet Jahromi is joining MOBILE as Assistant Professor. He received his PhD in 2017 and holds a background in computer science, with primary research interests spanning computer vision, adaptive processing, natural language processing, and explainability in AI systems. Over recent years, his work has increasingly moved toward cross-disciplinary research that bridges technical analysis with applications in sensitive domains such as law and medical, working directly with data from these fields. These efforts orbit fundamentally around a central question: how to build AI systems that are transparent and trustworthy, and that can address complex epistemological challenges arising at the intersection of these fields.

Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant professor at Aalborg university, where he contributed to projects XAIfair, REPAI, and Contest AI. He recently joined university of Copenhagen to work on the XAI-CRED project, which pursues these same research interests in the context of asylum decision-making and the notion of credibility within that process. In addition to his research, he brings over ten years of experience in teaching and supervising master's students.

MOBILE is excited to welcome him in his new role as Assistant Professor.
